                On January 1st, 2008, New Years Eve I participated in the ceremonial coin toss before the start of the AllState Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Archie Manning was the 'designated' MVP among us.  Kenny Stabler was another.

 I was asked because I was the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER in the Georgia Tech vs West Virginia in 1954 Sugar Bowl.  

This past year, 2009, the SUGAR BOWL celebrated their 75TH ANNIVERSARY, and invited all of the MVP'S and head coaches to New Orleans for a super party celebration.  They rolled out the red carpet with great events and treated us well.    My backfield coach, Frank Broyles and fellow MVP, Leon Hardeman '55 and me, '54, Georgia Tech.
